It is. Running the openbox version myself. Works a charm on the old nettie. In fact, it runs better than wheezy minimal/openbox. Needs a tit more ram (75 Mb whereas deb does it with 40) but boots up in 16 flat. Only slitaz and rexbang match this.

Seriously. It's one of the best os'es I ever tried. Deleted some autostart aps in this one. Very clean.
Very snappy.
0.8.5 ey ? Sounds good. Xfce4 it will be ?

Like you said, this arch version is very userfriendly to begin with. If only the install. Should attract a lot of linux users imho.
Haven't decided on a firewall yet. Got any suggestions?

no, I have no idea what is a good firewall for Linux. Linux is not my first OS. OSX is. I'm sure there are plenty of Linux users though who would have some thoughts on the matter. I only run Linux in VirtualBox.

Apple. I have quite a few apple "customers" these days. Not like windows-users with f..... up rigs, but still, increasing. Mostly costs though. Crisis allover the place I guess.
Hey, some dust gathering dino with , say, 256 Mb ram could be great fun you know. Wouldn't think of putting ubuntu and any of its derivatives on it though. However. Karmic and pre minimals could cut it . Naah. At least debian. Businesscard that is. Slitaz, pup, dsl,.....

I've thought about buying a small laptop just for Linux but then I figured I would just be constantly installing various distros on it like I do in VirtualBox. VB is just easier. :)

standard theme? I downloaded the latest release and ran it in a virtual box, but didnt look quite as nice as this.. And is the conky standard also?

btw, there is more than one version of Manjaro. The one here is 0.8.2 XFCE. There is also a 0.8.2 LXDE. I don't know what the LXDE version looks like or if it comes with conkys or what themes may be included.
